Polish Heritage Garden Dedicated

As part of the 100th-anniversary celebration of Poland regaining its independence, the Polish American Cultural Center in Honor of Pope John Paul II hosted a ribbon-cutting and grand dedication ceremony for their newly created Polish Heritage Garden November 11. The beautiful outdoor garden, located behind the Cultural Center’s Museum on Lansing Avenue in Slavic Village, presents Poland’s history century by century. The garden is designed for future educational and celebratory events for all Cleveland Polonia and their guests to enjoy.

Over 100 civic and cultural leaders and guests participated in the dedication ceremony, including Cuyahoga Land Bank board members Anthony Brancatelli, Ward 12 Councilman, and Ed Rybka, Chief of Regional Development for the City of Cleveland, as well as Cuyahoga Land Bank President and General Counsel Gus Frangos. The Cuyahoga Land Bank played a key role in assembling the land for the garden.

The Polish American Cultural Center is dedicated to the promotion of Polish culture, traditions, language, history, literature, arts, music, theater, and education.  Click HERE to learn more about the Polish American Cultural Center and the new Polish Heritage gardens.
